Multidimensional Child Poverty Analysis 2025 Report - Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago is a high-income country1 located in the Southern Caribbean, with a population of 1.4 million2. According to the Central Statistical Office’s estimates, based on 2011 census data, children accounted for 20.6 percent in 2022. In the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)3, building an understanding of the nature of child poverty and deprivation is essential to address the needs of children through appropriate programmes and policies.
